Although putting might seem like quite a gentle and easy move in your round of golf, it does cause people quite a few physical problems. A round of golf is great exercise. Swinging the club is good for flexing your upper back, shoulder and hip areas in nice flowing movements. However, contrast that to the still, tense, huddled stance of the putter trying to sink a birdie.

You can imagine how all of this tension may make you feel. So, having a few simple exercises up your golfing jumper sleeve will help relieve the pains you get. Moreover, it help you perform at the top of your game, right to the last hole.

Probably the best thing you can do is to complete a few reps of the overhead deep squats before you play. This simple move will loosen your back, leg, hips and knee muscles and prevent cramping and pain during and after the game. Make sure you find yourself a quiet place to do this before you start to play. Stretching like this at the tee could annoy other players and cause you embarrassment, click to know more!

The Perfect Putting Stretch

1.            To begin, stand up straight, with your feet set so that they are a shoulder width apart.

2.            Get your favorite club or putter and place one hand at each end.

3.            Raise the club above your head, keeping your arms straight.

4.            Slowly squat downwards until you can feel the tension in your upper thighs.

5.            For best results, try to squat down until your thighs are parallel with the ground.

6.            Make sure you keep your feet flat on the ground during the squat.

7.            Hold the position for a few seconds and then return to the standing pose.

8.            Repeat several times.

You can also perform a few stretches. For example, you can bend over and touch your toes, or sit with your legs straight and flat out in front of you and try to bend over to touch your toes. This will stretch the back muscles and hamstrings too. Be sure to visit this website at http://www.dictionary.com/browse/golfing and know more about golfing.

It is also important to try not to be so rigid whilst putting. Although this shot in golf does require lots of concentration and skill, it does not mean that you have to be so tense all the time. You should try to rely less on your wrists being firm in favor of your shoulders and back maintaining the strong and solid position to get that perfect shot, click here to get started!
